How to Use Mock DM

What is Mock DM?

Mock DM is a tool for designing expressive messaging scenes. Mix bold styles, curated backdrops, and your own characters to create visuals for decks, socials, or moodboards—no platform mimicry required.

Getting Started

1. Pick a Style: Choose a design preset that fits your vibe (neon, glassy, tactile paper, etc.).
2. Choose a Background: Drop your scene onto one of the curated backdrops or go minimal.
3. Set Up User Profiles: Add names and avatars for the participants in your conversation. Click on avatars to upload custom images or choose from presets.
4. Create Messages: Use the Messages section to add, edit, and organize your conversation. You can add text messages, set timestamps, and control the flow of the conversation.
5. Preview & Export: Watch your mockup come to life in the preview area. Use the play button to animate the conversation, then export as an image. Video export is coming soon.
